Ochran was an Israelite from the tribe of Asher. He was the father of Pagiel, who was chosen as the leader of the tribe during the Exodus (Num.1.13; 2.27). Pagiel represented Asher in the census (Num 1:13), in the arrangement of the tribal camps (Num 2:27), and in the offerings presented at the dedication of the tabernacle (Num.7.72, 77). He also led the tribe in the order of march (Num 10:26).
