End of Jehoshaphat’s Reign
1 Kings 22:41–45
BG1940
KJV
22:41¶ And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
22:42Jehoshaphat [was] thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name [was] Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
22:43And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing [that which was] right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; [for] the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
22:44And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.
22:45Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he shewed, and how he warred, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
2 Chronicles 17:1
BG1940
17:1А вместо <Аса> се възцари син му Иосафат, който се засили против Израиля;
KJV
17:1And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 Chronicles 20:31–21:1
BG1940
KJV
20:31¶ And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: [he was] thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name [was] Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
20:32And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing [that which was] right in the sight of the LORD.
20:33Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
20:34Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they [are] written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who [is] mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.
20:35¶ And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:
20:36And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Ezion-geber.
20:37Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
21:1Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
