16:3но ходи в пътя на Израилевите царе, и даже преведе сина си през огъня според мерзостите на народите, които Господ изпъди пред израилтяните.

16:4Той жертвуваше и кадеше по високите места, и по върховете и под всяко зелено дърво.

16:5Тогава сирийският цар Расин и Израилевият цар Факей, Ромелиевият син, дойдоха в Ерусалим да воюват, и обсадиха Ахаза, но не можаха да му надвият.

16:6В онова време сирийският цар Расин възвърна Елат под Сирия, и изпъди юдеите из Елат; а сирийците дойдоха в Елат та живееха там, <гдето са> и до днес.

16:3But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

16:4And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

16:5¶ Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome [him].

16:6At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrians came to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.

28:3При това той кади в долината на Еномовия син, и изгори <от> чадата си в огъня, според мерзостите на народите, които Господ беше изпъдил пред израилтяните.

28:4И жертвуваше и кадеше по високите места, по хълмовете и под всяко зелено дърво.

28:5Затова Господ неговият Бог го предаде в ръката на сирийския цар; и <сирийците> го поразиха, и взеха от него голямо множество пленници, които отведоха в Дамаск. Също биде предаден в ръката на Израилевия цар, който му нанесе голямо поражение.

28:6Защото Факей, Ромелиевият син, изби от Юда сто и двадесет хиляди души в един ден, всички силни и храбри мъже, понеже бяха оставили Господа Бога на бащите си;

28:7и Зехрий, един силен мъж от Ефрема, уби царския син Маасия, и надзирателя на двореца Азрикам, и втория подир царя Елкана;

28:8тоже израилтяните заплениха от братята си двеста хиляди жени, синове и дъщери, и при това взеха много користи от тях, и отнесоха користите в Самария.

28:3Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

28:4He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

28:5Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought [them] to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.

28:6¶ For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, [which were] all valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.

28:7And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king’s son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah [that was] next to the king.

28:8And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.
