Hadad, son of Bedad, was a king of Edom mentioned in Gen 36:35-36 and 1Ch 1:46-47. He succeeded Husham as king of Edom. Hadad defeated the Midianites in the country of Moab, which suggests that during his reign, Edom had a military conflict with Midian. The city of Avith is mentioned as the place where Hadad reigned, but its exact location is unknown.
An Edomite king who defeated the Midianites (Gen. 36:35; 1 Chr. 1:46).
