Age · 137
Explicitly stated · Age explicitly stated in the Bible text.
Source calculation and assumptions
The year of Amram_1's birth is the year his father, Kohath_1 was born (2300) + the age of his father at Amram_1's birth (17) = 2317
The year of Amram_1's death is the year he was born (2317) + his age at death (137) = 2454
Amram is not counted among the Israelites who travel down to Egypt with the 70 so he was born AFTER that event. Eliezer Shulman's "The Sequence of Events in the Old Testament" (page 44) places Kohath's birth in the year 2255AM (his date for Jacob's death) and Kohath was 17 years(???) old.
Dates and sources (10)
Absolute years are conditional chronological estimates. A biblical passage may state an age or event, but does not by itself establish a BCE year. Different calendar systems are preserved separately.

Amram was a Levite, the son of Kohath and father of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam (Exo.6.18,20; Num.26.58,59; 1Ch.6.2,3; 23.12,13). He married his father's sister Jochebed (Exo 6:20). Amram's family belonged to the Kohathite branch of Levites (Num.3.19,27; 1Ch 6:18; 24.20; 26.23). As the father of Moses and Aaron, Amram played a significant role in the history of Israel, although little is recorded about his own life.
