Conditional birth estimate · c. 213 BC – 32 BC
Conditional birth bounds under generation assumptions; not attested parental ages, biological limits or a lifespan.
Below are relatives with a selected birth year, the generations separating them, and the interval allowed by each anchor. Each relative’s page shows available dates and sources. The overall estimate uses the intersection of the allowed intervals.

Simon is mentioned in Mat 13:55 and Mrk 6:3 as one of the brothers of Jesus, along with James, Joseph (or Joses), and Judas (or Jude). He was a son of Mary and Joseph and grew up in Nazareth with Jesus and his other siblings.
The gospels do not provide any further details about Simon's life or his relationship with Jesus during his earthly ministry. However, it is noted that Jesus' brothers did not believe in him initially (Jhn 7:5).
After Jesus' resurrection and ascension, his brothers, including Simon, are mentioned as being part of the early Christian community in Jerusalem, joining the apostles in prayer (Act 1:14). This suggests that Simon, along with his brothers, came to faith in Jesus as the Messiah and became involved in the early church.
One of the brothers of our Lord (Matt. 13:55; Mark 6:3).
